What’s Next?
While Bergerson is looking forward to retirement, he doesn’t deny he will miss the practice.
“I am really going to miss the adrenaline rush. My clients, many of whom have become friends, always needed things done now, so I had a natural high every day rushing to meet their needs and deadlines. I will miss my 33rd floor corner office, my colleagues, my clients and friends and the intellectual challenge of the moment-to-moment, day-to-day work,” said Bergerson. “But, I haven’t had a real vacation in 40 years, so I am looking forward to a more relaxing schedule.
“Professionally, I have lived the impossible dream,” continued Bergerson, “but I am ready to focus my time and energy on my wife, Lois, our three kids and seven grandchildren and pursuing my other passions like gardening, photography, boating, long motorcycle rides, and perhaps some teaching and consulting projects.”
